About CABA CPAs

A THOUGHTFUL, PROACTIVE APPROACH TO TAX STRATEGY

At CABA CPAs, our work is centered on helping service-based business owners feel confident and clear when it comes to taxes.

  • You shouldn’t feel rushed at tax time.

  • You shouldn’t feel unsure about your decisions.

  • And you should never feel hesitant to ask a question.

Our role is to bring clarity, proactive planning, and practical guidance to the table — so you can make informed decisions and avoid unnecessary surprises.

How We Support You

We work with established, service-based businesses that want:

  • Proactive tax planning instead of reactive filing

  • Clear explanations without complicated language

  • Personalized guidance that reflects how their business actually operates

  • A CPA relationship that feels accessible, responsive, and supportive

***This is not a high-volume, transactional firm.

We intentionally keep our client relationship focused so we can provide the attention, follow-through, and strategy our clients value.

THOUGHTFULLY DESIGNED

A More Personal CPA Experience

Many business owners come to us after feeling:

  • Unsure whether they’re paying more in taxes than necessary

  • Confused by technical explanations that don’t connect to real decisions

  • Like “just another client” at a firm that doesn’t truly know their business

At CABA CPAs, we take a different approach.

Good tax strategy starts with understanding your business, answering your questions clearly, and planning ahead — together.

There are no dumb questions here.

And no expectation to “just trust the process” without understanding what’s happening.

MEET CAROL BAHOU BLONDER, CPA

CABA CPAs was founded by Carol Bahou Blonder, a licensed CPA with more than 25 years of experience in public and private accounting.

Her background includes tax, auditing, and financial planning experience at nationally recognized firms, along with leadership roles supporting business operations from the inside.

Over time, Carol discovered that the most meaningful work wasn’t transactional — it was advising business owners, answering questions, and helping clients make proactive tax decisions that fit their real lives and businesses.

That philosophy shaped CABA CPAs into what it is today:

A firm built around relationships, clarity, responsiveness, and thoughtful tax strategy.

Carol built CABA CPAs intentionally — moving away from transactional, once-a-year tax work and toward ongoing advisory relationships that help business owners feel protected and prepared year-round.

Carol is licensed in Maryland and Virginia and leads a virtual firm serving clients in multiple states. While headquartered in Bethesda, Maryland, the focus is always fit — not geography.

Carol holds a dual undergraduate degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Maryland and an MBA with a focus in Taxation from American University.

More importantly, she brings a steady, practical, and personalized approach to every client relationship.

The goal is never to overwhelm.

It’s to help you feel informed, supported, and confident in your decisions.
